Survey for Perspective Solution

Through our research about teaching and reinventing everything about teaching, we have found there is not just one solution to this problem that is going to work for all stakeholders involved, which is what makes this a wicked problem. What would be considered a viable solution for a teacher might not seem to be a viable solution from a parent’s or student’s perspective. With this in mind, we came up with a solution that could eventually work for all stakeholders involved. We do not need to reinvent the wheel when it comes to education but we do need to try and repurpose the wheel so it better serves our 21st Century learners. In order to start repurposing our education wheel, we want to try shifting from a teacher centered classroom to a more student-centered one through the use of technology that is available to us. This type of student-centered classroom would allow us to facilitate learning opportunities for all students in our classrooms.

To further our journey on trying some of these practices in our classrooms, we first collected some feedback from our fellow educators and people who are involved in education in other ways about what they thought when it comes to this wicked problem. To gather feedback about our ideas on how to change our classrooms, we used a survey set-up through Google Forms for people to take. To see the survey these people participated in you can see it below. If you are unable to see the survey below, then please click here. You can also still take the survey, so we can further our research about this wicked problem.
